Run away and join the carnival….of cities

Home Turf Media is excited to host the new Carnival of Cities at Blog Carnival

A blog carnival is a round-up of posts from all around the blogosphere, all relating to a certain topic.  Blog authors send in their permalink best offering/post and the host site collates them and publishes the links – as long as they aren’t spam and are relevant to the topic.

This is such a fun way to read great posts and learn about all sorts of blogs that may be new to you.  When you participate as an author, it helps build traffic to your blog.

Here’s the scoop:  click here to send us your best post about a city (OK, we’ll take mid-sized towns as well.) It can be about a divine bakery, a history tidbit, local gossip from the town council, your favorite weekend itinerary for visitors; anything that relates to just one city.  The post is written on your blog and you send our carnival the permalink to just that post.

Deadline for submissions to Carnival of Cities #1 is Sunday, 18 February 2007, and we’ll publish the results on Monday, 19 February 2007.

Start humming some Joni Mitchell carnival music….you know, That Song About The Midway….

[…] Home Turf Media, the publishers of Brisbane is Home, will be hosting the first ‘Carnival of Cities’ on February 19th (February 20th here). The deadline is February 18th, but if you are in Australia you might be able to get away with submitting on the morning of the 19th. Personally, I won’t be trying my luck though - my submission is already in - I’ve submitted my Australia Day post. […]

I’ve put my post in early as well! Lets hope we get a few from Brisbane!
Cheers, Wes.

Thanks for your submission.

I’m getting a pretty good pile of entries so it should be a fun carnival post. If you miss this week, don’t worry; we’ll be at it again the following week.
