Chattanooga, L.A. and Kuala Lumpur are Online
We’re off and running flying! The pilot project has officially achieved lift-off with our first three sites now online.
1. Chattanooga Is Home is written by Alli who is passionate about Chattanooga, Tennessee. Alli has written some some very nice posts that show her knowledge of what’s going on in her city. Judging from the first few comments on her site, she is already providing valuable info to her readers.
Also, to any experienced blogger out there, her site has already had the fastest time from launch to first visitor referred by a search engine I’ve ever seen: 4 days!
2. Kuala Lumpur is Home is written by Che Jaafar Che Man. Che, basically wouldn’t take no for an answer
and insisted on being a part of the pilot project. So even though I was going to stick to sites in North America…well we have Kuala Lumpur too! By the looks of things on Che’s site, it is going to be a great place to learn about. Some of the city’s beauty showing up in the images already included with every post.
3. Jessica is just getting set up at Invisible L.A. and she’s told me about a lot of great plans she has for her site. With a big city like Los Angeles it will probably take a fair measure of creativity to distinguish a blog from the din of the rest of the city online, but I’m sure Jessica is just the person to pull it off.
I’m really excited to see the first baby steps of the Home Turf Media blog network starting to take shape. From reading the first posts on each of the blogs I can see the love for their cities coming through from the bloggers; and that’s exactly what I’m hoping will grow and make give this network it’s heart and soul.
Thanks to the first three bloggers for being so cooperative and putting up with the few many quirks of being a part of this from the very beginning.
