Alli Crumley -Chattanooga

Alli Crumley, Chattanooga BloggerMy name is Alli Crumley, your Chattanooga blogger.

I am a one of those people who moved around a lot as a kid- Lexington, VA; Mesa, AZ; Plattsburgh, NY; Germany/ The Netherlands; Lookout Mountain, GA; Charleston, SC; Chattanooga, TN. My dad was a pastor for my first 12 years of life and then he joined the Air Force as an active duty chaplain. This should explain the moving.

I went to Covenant College, high atop Lookout Mountain, which overlooks Chattanooga. When people would ask where I was from I would stammer out, “My dad is in the Air Force.” People would realize I didn’t really have a claim to any one hometown.

After graduating in 1998 I stayed in Chattanooga for various reasons, the most promenient being my boyfriend Damon, who became my husband in April 1999. We have a son, Fuller, who was born in 2004.

In the summer of 2006, our family was hanging out downtown and I realized that after 8 years of living in the Scenic City, I have now lived in Chattanooga the longest I have lived anywhere. And I was so happy to say that Chattanooga is my home, which is why my blog exists, to share my hometown with you.

I want to promote local events, tell stories about living here, and encourage others to embrace this Scenic City and all it has to offer.

You can find out more about our family at CRUMLEYdotORG. I also blog at Parenting Sites 411.
