Well, in the summer of 2006 I had an idea about how much fun it would be to blog about my city. Rather than doing what any rational person would do and create a blog and start writing, I decided to start a blog network of city based blogs…and a few months later Home Turf Media was born.

It is very exciting to watch my vision take shape with the help of all the bloggers and the many other people who have provided guidance and support for this city blog project.

I like to tell people that you’ll know that Home Turf Media is perfect, when I can resign from day-to-day operations and open my Edmonton blog on the network; I’m really looking forward to that day as it will be the sign that a lot has been accomplished by our entire team.

I’ve been blogging seriously since January 2005. I started out by writing my own blogging software, but then came to the realization that WordPress was so fantastic that I would give up my project and just stick to blogging.

I’ve been a full time web entrepreneur for about a year now and during that time I’ve created niche sites, done all types of SEO work, created affiliate sites, developed a forum and sold my own Information product.
