My name is Jon Tillman, and I am the guy behind East London Life. I have a personal website where you can get all the nitty-gritty details about me - but let me take a moment to give you a bit of glimpse at who I am with regards to East London Life.I am a thirty year old American expat living in the extreme Eastern outskirts of East London. I arrived in London in August of 2006 looking for a new start in life, leaving behind a moderately successful career in business development and programming to pursue my true loves; philosophy and writing.

No sooner had I arrived in London and begin wandering around than I fell in love with East London. I was struck by how different it seemed than the rest of London, how much more vibrant, how many more types of people there were, how much friendlier and open it seemed.

So when the opportunity to write about East London, to explore and photograph and chronicle it came my way, I couldn’t pass it up, and here I am - writing about my new adopted home, determined to show the rest of the world how great it is.
