iPad, MacBook Air or Laptop for Real Estate on the Go?
By admin:
Up until today, I have been a huge proponent of using an iPad for real estate, but I have changed my mind completely on this. Today, I picked up an 11″ MacBook Air to replace my iPad. There is no comparison. The Air is marginally larger, but much smaller than a laptop and weighs just a little bit more than the iPad, but the functionality is not even comparable.
I’ll be selling my iPad as with the Air, I really won’t have a use for it.
The MacBook Air is a full fledged computer. It runs flash, has a file management system, turns on instantly and otherwise operates in ways that an iPad can’t. It costs more – the one I picked up retails for $1199, but it has twice the storage and a real computer processor. It’s actually faster than my MacBook Pro. It’s thin and it’s an Apple so it doesn’t have some of the security issues associated more commonly with a PC. This is not a netbook. The battery life is also fantastic. We need to be able to pick up and go. The MAcBook Air is the best solution on the market and in my opinion better than any PC offering.
As an example of why this is better, I’m writing this post from it right now. This isn’t something I could do on an iPad because you can’t use a WYSIWYG editor.
Yes, it’s a little more expensive than the top of the line iPad, but it’s worlds more useable. You owe it to yourself to at least check it out.
